I'm official!

I got a letter today from the U.S. Equestrian Foundation with my National Classification card. Apparently, I need to carry it with me to all events. How about that? It's just a little paperwork, but it is pretty cool.

Hey Matt -- it's great that you're 'official' with the paper to prove it! Keep up the good work. Steve M

Like I said in my email Matt -- it's all about paperwork in this crazy world, yes?!! So paperwork is good -- one more sign of good things yet to come on all creatures equine!! Congratulations! (and surely this means Claren and Daisy -- maybe even Lexie -- can have a go at cleaning up Spirit's field!!) Love, Kate

Wow Matt --- I'm so excited for you, Dada and the whole Spirit gang. I saw Spirit, and she is going to make a wonderful horse for you and all the other riders who Dada puts on her. Keep up the good work. Good things come to those who work hard. I can't wait to see you ride again. Happy New Year! Love and miss you, Lynne

Yippee!!! What better way to start the new year than to have so many things falling into place? I'm so happy for you, Dada, Spirt (the horse) and Spirit (the facility).

And as for Claren, as soon as it gets cold again, she can introduce you to the wonderful world of FROZEN manure -- fondly known by my dog (who loves the way a frozen horse turd can be gnawed upon for a good 20 minutes) as "poop-sicles."

Hi, Matt!! I don't know if I know Melissa -- but if I don't, I must have known her in another life, and she makes me laugh, laugh, laugh!! And ask her to please introduce Daisy to "poopsicles" so she'll leave the poor "kittysicles" alone!! Plus then I won't have to pick up any frozen stuff -- you can't imagine how much poop one delicate little fair-haired lady can generate!! Too much roughage -- we'll have to lock her in her stall!!

But now, for the important stuff, I rode Dada's girl for a lap or two around the field today Matt, and she was amazing -- smooth as silk -- you can hardly feel her moving -- and just with a halter -- she's sweet, willing and wisely wary too! What a suprise -- Dada outdid herself! Look forward to seeing you and Miss Claren SOON!! Love, Kate
